The artist Vanessa Cooper lives in the south-west coast of Dorset, UK, with her dogs and cat and four children.
Vanessa’s painting style is naive, bold and exuberant.
Walking daily through Dorset’s ancient valleys and hollows, she is driven to describe in paint her everyday findings in the natural world.
From here, magical stories and imagined dialogue unfold onto the canvas, where the surface and texture are as important as the subjects and colours within the painting.
Vanessa’s work is collected worldwide, with regular solo exhibitions throughout the UK.
Group exhibitions include Royal Western Academy and The Royal College Of Art. Her paintings have been featured in national publications and fine art prints.
She is represented by Eastwood Fine Art in Hampshire, White Space Art in Totnes, Devon and The Brian Sinfield gallery, Burford, Oxfordshire.
